5.3.1 Accuracy Check for Grid Resampling

  • Exercise Title:  Accuracy Check for Grid Resampling

  • Author:  Murray Brown

  • Version:  February 2013

1.  In Saga, load the global sediment thickness grid (sediments_global_ngdc_sdat) and the 0.1-degree resolution Liberia dummy grid, or the 1-degree resolution Liberia dummy grid -- either one is fine.  Then resample the global grid to the dummy grid.
2.  If you used the 1-degree dummy grid, this is what you must see (ignoring the specific colors).
3.  If you used the 0.1-degree dummy grid, this is what you must see (ignoring the specific colors).
4.  Use of other dummy grids must produce figure like these, with appropriately different resolutions.
